The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently concluded its fifteenth Express Entry draw of 2023, extending invitations to 4,300 candidates who achieved a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 486. This draw closely followed a similar one on June 8, which invited 4,800 candidates with the same CRS cut-off score, demonstrating Canada’s continued efforts to attract skilled individuals from around the world.
In a bid to further optimize the selection process and align with labor market needs, the IRCC has introduced six new categories for Express Entry candidates. These categories encompass healthcare, STEM professions, trades, transportation, agriculture, agri-food, and strong French-speaking abilities. Candidates with relevant work or language experience in these sectors will now have enhanced opportunities to receive Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency.
